My experiences are probably not unique, but I’d like to share what I have experienced by doing the Thirty Day Challenge.
Before June 2008 I had never heard of the 30 Day Challenge. I have been in the Internet Marketing arena for over a year now, but it started out as a hobby and boy, was I ever inundated with ‘STUFF’ from other marketers!
I guess when you start out cold, as I did, you are doomed to end up with a hard drive full of information and software and MANY THOUSANDS of emails in your inbox that you just can’t bear to delete just ‘in case’ you miss some really important piece of information.
Until you realize the magnitude of the information people put out there on why you should ‘buy my stuff and get rich’, you tend to fall for all the hype. I know I did.
I have spent a lot of money buying other people’s products in an effort to learn how to make money online. I’ve joined a lot of membership programs in an effort to educate myself… and I must admit that I did learn a lot in the process.
I have made some money, but probably spent most of it buying more ’stuff’ in the hope of finding that special nugget of information or program that will take me to the top of the heap. Especially in the market research area.
Since starting the Thirty Day Challenge, I have found a piece of software that was available for free trial before you buy, another place to automate creating websites, and…… most importantly for me ….. a group of people I can communicate with and hopefully continue with in the months and years to come. All of this is absolutely AWESOME! and not available anywhere else.
I live in a remote area of Australia, and my husband is away for 2 weeks out of every 4. So while I have plenty of time (I am retired) to put into working online, I do it in isolation.
The best outcome for me has been using the social networking tools such as Twitter, Friendfeed and Skype to network with people from all over Australia and around the world. While I can’t attend the meet-ups, I can chat, discuss and share with like minded people doing the same things that I am. It is wonderful.
Thirty Day Challenge has proved to not only be a great learning experience and amazingly a FREE one, but also a great networking opportunity. I no longer feel so isolated. I have learned that there are caring people, good people out there, who are willing to share their knowledge for free.
My faith in the internet marketing community has been restored, I am no longer as jaded about other marketers. Ed and the team he has built around himself are genuine people with kind hearts and endless patience.
I sometimes jump to their defense a bit too quickly perhaps, but overall I have really enjoyed the camaraderie of the this community, the level of support and the depth of experience from the guys presenting this both up front and behind the scenes.
If anyone is still sitting on the fence over starting this journey, I can assure you the quality of information here has been exceptional and the experience to be had is awesome.
The other most wonderful thing to come out of this for me, is that one of my sons has asked me to help him get into online marketing! He lives thousands of miles away, and we can do this together. He’s keen to learn and we chat and work together daily. This is so wonderful and exciting for both of us and I can thank Thirty Day Challenge for it.
Thanks to everyone involved – you have restored my belief in the validity of internet marketing as a business option and opened the doors to me on a whole new community of people and hopefully long time friends. You are all great.
