My experiences are probably not unique, but I’d like to share what I have experienced by doing the Thirty Day Challenge.

Before June 2008 I had never heard of the 30 Day Challenge. I have been in the Internet Marketing arena for over a year now, but it started out as a hobby and boy, was I ever inundated with ‘STUFF’ from other marketers!

I guess when you start out cold, as I did, you are doomed to end up with a hard drive full of information and software and MANY THOUSANDS of emails in your inbox that you just can’t bear to delete just ‘in case’ you miss some really important piece of information.

Until you realize the magnitude of the information people put out there on why you should ‘buy my stuff and get rich’, you tend to fall for all the hype. I know I did.

I have spent a lot of money buying other people’s products in an effort to learn how to make money online. I’ve joined a lot of membership programs in an effort to educate myself… and I must admit that I did learn a lot in the process.

I have made some money, but probably spent most of it buying more ’stuff’ in the hope of finding that special nugget of information or program that will take me to the top of the heap. Especially in the market research area.

Since starting the Thirty Day Challenge, I have found a piece of software that was available for free trial before you buy, another place to automate creating websites, and…… most importantly for me ….. a group of people I can communicate with and hopefully continue with in the months and years to come. All of this is absolutely AWESOME! and not available anywhere else.

I live in a remote area of Australia, and my husband is away for 2 weeks out of every 4. So while I have plenty of time (I am retired) to put into working online, I do it in isolation.

The best outcome for me has been using the social networking tools such as Twitter, Friendfeed and Skype to network with people from all over Australia and around the world. While I can’t attend the meet-ups, I can chat, discuss and share with like minded people doing the same things that I am. It is wonderful.

Thirty Day Challenge has proved to not only be a great learning experience and amazingly a FREE one, but also a great networking opportunity. I no longer feel so isolated. I have learned that there are caring people, good people out there, who are willing to share their knowledge for free.

My faith in the internet marketing community has been restored, I am no longer as jaded about other marketers. Ed and the team he has built around himself are genuine people with kind hearts and endless patience.

I sometimes jump to their defense a bit too quickly perhaps, but overall I have really enjoyed the camaraderie of the this community, the level of support and the depth of experience from the guys presenting this both up front and behind the scenes.

If anyone is still sitting on the fence over starting this journey, I can assure you the quality of information here has been exceptional and the experience to be had is awesome.

The other most wonderful thing to come out of this for me, is that one of my sons has asked me to help him get into online marketing! He lives thousands of miles away, and we can do this together. He’s keen to learn and we chat and work together daily. This is so wonderful and exciting for both of us and I can thank Thirty Day Challenge for it.

Thanks to everyone involved – you have restored my belief in the validity of internet marketing as a business option and opened the doors to me on a whole new community of people and hopefully long time friends. You are all great.

The most important thing Internet marketers need is traffic. Without traffic (targeted traffic) how would you make any sales? It doesn’t matter how good your website is, traffic is key. You could have the best headlines and sales copy on the planet and it wouldn’t make a bit of difference in your bottom line. That is because, without a sufficient amount of traffic you will not do very well. This article is going to reveal four very simple things that can be put to use immediately. These are time tested and proven methods for getting targeted traffic to flow to your capture page.

Write articles. This is an often underutilized method of traffic generation, especially by internet marketing beginners, that does more than just bring traffic to your website. It positions you as an expert and builds trust in your prospects’ minds. The value of this is often underestimated. People have to trust you or value your opinion if they are going to order from you or join your “team.” People will pass you by if they don’t first feel comfortable with you and respect your opinions. Submitting articles is a great way to “break the ice”.

Here is what to do. Write a series of articles relating to your market niche. Distribute two articles per week to major ezines such as ezinearticles.com or goarticles.com. At the bottom of the article you are allowed to have a signature (or bio). You can include a small amount of information about your website and a link to your homepage. If people like the information you give them, they will click the link and visit your site. This is why it’s important to provide useful, high quality information. People will only want to visit your website if you give them something of value first.

Exchange links with popular sites. This method works on two levels. First of all, you will receive traffic through the your links posted on other sites. Also, as more and more websites link to yours, your search engine rankings naturally begin to rise. This can be a major source of traffic. Showing up on the first page of results in the major search engines can bring you tens of thousands of visitors per month.

Here is how to get links to your site. Find sites that are very similar in theme to your site. Make a call or send an e-mail to the site owner about the possibility of doing a link exchange. Send them a link to the page that you are displaying on your website that you have already put their link on. Now it is their turn. They will do one of two things, either accept your offer or not. If they refuse to add a link to your site on their website, simply remove their link from your site.

Use Pay Per Click advertising. Although Pay Per Click costs money, it can be a very good way to drive targeted traffic to your site. If you select your keywords with care and make proper bidding choices it can be a very cost effective and useful tool to add to your marketing plan. Google Adwords and Overture are the two top Pay Per Click companies. However, Yahoo and MSN offer pay per click advertising as well, often for less cost per click than the “big guys.” To get the most out of Pay Per Click advertising you need to be armed with at least a bit of knowledge on the subject. I suggest buying a book or ebook on the in’s and out’s of pay per click advertising before starting a campaign.

Submit videos to video sites. Making and posting Videos to Youtube of the best ways to get yourself “found” on the internet. Good quality videos can also be made with the most basic equipment. For instance, you can use a small digital camera that has a movie mode or an inexpensive webcam. You can also make videos from still pictures. So you actually can do videos without a movie camera at all! Processing your movie can be done using a free video editing program that is part of your Windows operating system.

Here is what to do. Make a video about your product or opportunity. Upload your video to Youtube and give it a catchy title and description based on it’s content. There are some things you can do with the title and description to make sure that it is seen by as many people as possible. For instance, make sure to do some keyword research and use those keywords or “tags” that laser target the audience that you want to reach. I could go on about that but that is a subject for another article. For now, learn from others that are already on Youtube. Take a look at the descriptions and tags on highly viewed videos and “learn” from them!

While any one of the traffic generating strategies mentioned above can make a difference in your marketing efforts, I suggest using all of them. Doing this will give you more traffic in the shortest timeframe. The more you put into the methods discussed in this article the better they will work.

Doing something for others, helping them to help themselves, can really contribute to improving the lives of people less fortunate than us.

Here’s how you can participate in helping other entrepreneurs around the world.

What Kiva is all about:

We Let You Loan to the Working Poor

Kiva’s mission is to connect people through lending for the sake of alleviating poverty.

Kiva is the world’s first person-to-person micro-lending website, empowering individuals to lend directly to unique entrepreneurs in the developing world.

The people you see on Kiva’s site are real individuals in need of funding – not marketing material. When you browse entrepreneurs’ profiles on the site, choose someone to lend to, and then make a loan, you are helping a real person make great strides towards economic independence and improve life for themselves, their family, and their community. Throughout the course of the loan (usually 6-12 months), you can receive email journal updates and track repayments. Then, when you get your loan money back, you can relend to someone else in need.

Kiva partners with existing expert microfinance institutions. In doing so, we gain access to outstanding entrepreneurs from impoverished communities world-wide. Our partners are experts in choosing qualified entrepreneurs. That said, they are usually short on funds. Through Kiva, our partners upload their entrepreneur profiles directly to the site so you can lend to them. When you do, not only do you get a unique experience connecting to a specific entrepreneur on the other side of the planet, but our microfinance partners can do more of what they do, more efficiently.

Kiva provides a data-rich, transparent lending platform. We are constantly working to make the system more transparent to show how money flows throughout the entire cycle, and what effect it has on the people and institutions lending it, borrowing it, and managing it along the way. To do this, we are using the power of the internet to facilitate one-to-one connections that were previously prohibitively expensive. Child sponsorship has always been a high overhead business. Kiva creates a similar interpersonal connection at much lower costs due to the instant, inexpensive nature of internet delivery. The individuals featured on our website are real people who need a loan and are waiting for socially-minded individuals like you to lend them money.

Click on the above banner to go to ‘KIVA’ and help out a struggling entrepreneur achieve their dream. You won’t regret it.

Supporting the working poor.
