There are several ways to make money online that are both simple and cheap to implement. The important this is to have two or more different methods working at the same time that way if you encounter problems with one method then your income is completely wiped out.

In 2005 I gave up a well paid corporate job with IBM to start my own business. After a few months it was obvious that my research was flawed and I wasn’t going to be able to earn enough money to survive so I needed some way else of earning money. At this point I had no knowledge of Internet marketing and didn’t know the difference between AdSense and affiliates.

Desperation is a really good teacher. Within a few months I was earning enough money online to pay all my bills and start to build up my savings. It wasn’t easy and I made lots of mistakes along the way. I always believe in sharing what I know so I set up The Income Academy to share my knowledge with people who wanted to make money online or to supplement their income.

The thing about creating an online income is that there is much more to it than just creating a website and sitting back. Do that and you be lucky to make a few dollars. Lets have a look at some of the methods you could use to create your first income stream.

Creating a service is a good way of generating an income, if you can write articles for people. If you have good design skills create a website graphics and page templates. Once you have regular customers you will have a steady income stream.

Simple Affiliate Marketing. Find a product you like on Clickbank and review it create several articles and post them to website directories.

Make websites that are informative and place adverts on them. AdSense is the most popular type of advert. You will then need to spend time promoting the site.

Create informational products and sell them via clickbank.

Develop a blog until it has good PageRank and traffic, then sell text link ads or join a pay per post service and get paid to make posts to your own blog.
