So many people get into Internet Marketing believing it’s an easy way to make money. If you have done any research on the subject, you may have been convinced by all the ‘hype’ out there about making thousands of dollars in a matter of days, weeks or months. In reality, very few are succeeding. Some estimate that 95% of new internet marketing businesses fail within the first 3 months.
WOW! That’s huge. Why? Isn’t it supposed to be easy? Well, it can be – IF you know how. There are any number of reasons people fail in this business, but what are the main things that contribute to the high failure rate? Maybe they don’t have the RECIPE needed to bake the successful Internet Business cake?
1. MAKING OTHER MARKETERS RICH:
Have you seen all those sales pages like ‘How I made $7,698.00 in 3 hours’ etc etc …??? Have you then rushed in and bought the product being promoted, that supposedly ‘tells all’ and will show you exactly how to do it yourself? I would estimate at least 75% of you have done that at least once. Am I right? You bet! Otherwise, the marketers selling those products wouldn’t have made those huge dollars in the first place!
Think about it. If you have bought just one of those products, then YOU are the reason they made that money, along with others just like you. Sadly, in a desperate effort to learn HOW to make money online, you are making other marketers rich!
2. NOT UNDERSTANDING HOW IT REALLY WORKS:
Another reason people fail to make any money or very little, is simply a lack of REAL knowledge. When we buy the ‘How I did it’ products, we may learn a couple of things about how others have done it, but what you don’t learn, are the FUNDAMENTAL things that get the dollars rolling in. There are things that other marketers just don’t teach you. They are selling you a product about ONE TECHNIQUE they are using, not the WHOLE PROCESS.
3. NOT KNOWING WHERE TO START:
Choosing the RIGHT way to begin the journey with internet marketing can be a huge hurdle for a lot of people. The Internet reaches people world-wide, right? So why, with all those potential customers out there, can’t you just put up a website, add lots of valuable content, and get sale after sale? It’s probably because there are literally MILLIONS of other people doing exactly the same thing. Your competition is HUGE. If you want to succeed in this type of market, you NEED TO KNOW WHERE TO START! You need to know HOW to market to such a massive audience. It’s an entirely different mind-set to what you are probably using.
4. INABILITY TO IMPLEMENT THE BASICS:
New internet marketers tend to fall into what I would call ‘Technique Overload’. This is such an easy trap to fall into. With all the information gathering, ebooks and other product purchases, getting overloaded with different techniques that ‘might be’ the next best thing to making millions online, is almost inevitable. When you don’t understand the basic principles to establishing an online business, nothing works like you were told it should. Self doubt begins to creep in, and after spending all your cash on other people’s products, you find that you are getting nowhere. Some will continue to go out and look for the next biggest method to get the dollars rolling in, or become so discouraged that they just give up.
5. TRYING TO GO IT ALONE:
Internet Marketing is usually done from home. The promise being that you can work from home part time or full time and stay close to your family, ditch your job and be your own boss. Have the lifestyle you always wanted etc. All this is true, but…. when you are just starting out, you are on your own! You have to find information that is reliable, find out how others are doing it, get the technical know how to do it, buy the tools and learn the techniques. All by yourself! You don’t learn any of this in school. It’s all totally new and foreign. Other internet marketers could help, but in reality, aren’t they your competition? So, to learn how to do this business is a pretty hit-and-miss affair. Some people are naturals, but most will need help and guidance. Finding a mentor that has your interests at heart and is prepared to help you become successful, needs to be a top priority before anything else happens.
CONCLUSION:
It can be a very rewarding, enjoyable and profitable way to make a living. All we really need is the RIGHT advice, a wholistic approach (not just techniques), a mentor to keep us headed in the RIGHT direction, motivation and a mental attitude that supports success.
Get rich quick is a myth. If you are just starting out, be prepared to take it ONE STEP AT A TIME! Learn the basics, avoid the hype, implement the steps you learn – and go BAKE THAT CAKE!

Hello again and welcome to all my readers. I haven’t personally posted here for a while, but there are plenty of other contributors doing a great job with their articles. Thank you to all of you who are contributing freely. I hope you (my readers) are liking their articles. Many of them give excellent advice.
I have noticed that not many people are leaving comments, even tho’ the traffic stats show me that you are reading this blog!!
Did you know that up to 90% of us are ‘Lurkers’!!! You know there are only about 10% of readers of blogs and forums that are actually game enough to leave comments or posts? Are you one of the 90%?
I know I tend to be. I get so much from reading other peoples comments and ideas that I forget that I may have something to contribute on the subject too. There is also the problem that many fear rejection! Many, many people lack the confidence to say anything online, but that is SO wrong! EVERYONE has something to contribute, but most just don’t realize it.
The only way to really be successful online is to build your confidence and share what you know. Make a few helpful comments or share something about yourself. Start small and before long you will be receiving feedback from others giving you encouragement and the courage to continue. You will also be getting practiced at writing on-line and honing your skills.
The Internet is all about the written word, right? If success online is achievable for us all, (which it is) – it has to be through the written word, doesn’t it? That’s how the Internet works – yes?
So, let’s take the bull by the horns so to speak, and write something today!! Here is your opportunity to take the first step.

I am sorry to be the bringer of bad news, I am not a scare monger, this is very real! At the beginning of the year, Article-Content-King was hacked, the hackers got all the way to server Admin, but luckily I was also in there too when they were trying to do damage and we managed to lock them out before they could, but still it took a few more days to completely secure the script files. I was not so lucky with my other server.
I had the same script installed several times on that server, and I wasn’t there when they were doing the damage. I lost EVERYTHING ON THE SERVER not just the accounts that were “hackable”. This security hole could be more serious than you think! Please read and act accordingly.
Through the security hole in this script, every account on the server was lost. The hackers got all the way into server admin created themselves a user. They had the ability to do what ever they wanted and they wanted to destroy the server. I have absolutely no clue why I would be attacked in this way. I think it is just because they managed to get in and took it as far as they could. Your site (every domain you own) could be at risk from this even if you have secured your script with the patch and even if you do not have the script installed at all. If you have any domains on shared hosting they are at risk. If there is a chance that another user of the same server has an unsafe installation of this script set up, your domains are at risk.
Lets look at what this script is and how it has been marketed in the 3 years since it was first made available. (or is it 4). This script is not really sold to people who want an article directory, it is mainly sold to Internet marketers looking for an easy passive income site. I managed to buy it for $1 on e-bay 2 weeks ago when I first looked at making the patch for the untouched files. People are still reselling it now at least 3 years on.
There is no telling how many people have installed this script over the years and completely forgotten about it. I don’t know about you, but I tend to install all the scripts I get in PLR packages to test them out. I don’t use them all and I don’t (or didn’t) always delete them if I decide not to use them.
Out of the “500″ who originally bought this script as part of sourcecodegold mine, How many have this script installed somewhere forgotten about and how many have done so since? How can you be sure you are safe if someone else on the same server as you hasn’t secured their script? If server admin is compromised then every account is at risk, no matter how secure.
As Online Marketers we all tend to see the same hosting offers, this makes the chance of someone having an insecure script set up somewhere on a shared hosting account even greater! But there is no telling how far and wide this script could be installed, nor is there any real way of you finding out if you are sharing a server with a insecure site.
This is the reality in any case, and one of the main reasons why I do not use shared hosting, but when you know it can happen and do not do anything about it, you do everyone a disservice.
I am really not trying to cause a panic here, but the threat is very real!
We need to get word out about the SecureArticleBeach membership site to everyone who may have this script installed and get them to download the free patch. You won’t really be safe until everyone has.
Please post this message on your blog and let your subscribers and customers know. Even people who have never even heard of this script could be at risk.

There are so many ways to make money on the internet.
I have a few things Listed below for you to consider…
1. You can create and sell your own products, start an affiliate program and get other people to promote your products…
2. You can try to get listed in the search engines and create content sites with Google Adsense ads…
3. There are lots of traffic brokers who buy traffic from Yahoo, Google, MSN or other search engines and submit that traffic to their affiliate site or sites to earn commissions…
4. Internet marketers build a list of prospects by creating squeeze pages, and promoting various affiliate products to a list of prospects when they feel the need or need money…
I believe that focus or the lack of…is one of the obstacles that stands between the successful internet business that people in this industry dream of…
People ask me to evaluate why they are failing online and I found that most people may use these extravagant websites, promoting at least 10-20 different affiliate products with different banners flashing all over the place
Seeing this immediately notifies me to what the underlying problem may be…
This person might be Unfocused!
But you can’t do everything at the same time and expect to do anything very well.
Now here is my point…
You need to find a proven business model to follow and follow that business model until it’s profitable.
You cant jump from one thing to the next and give up before you actually start experiencing results.
I am living proof of the fact…if you are persistent and consistent, stay focused on your dream, you will be sucessful.

As an new web master, your goal is to make your site as search engine friendly and as relevant to your search keywords as possible. Regardless of your product or service, if you want to achieve a high ranking and appear in the first 1-20 listings for search terms, there are some very important steps that must be implemented before you submit your site to Google or any other search engine. You also need to practice patience. Part of the search engine algorithms will be the age of your site. The newer it is, the less likely it is your site will rise to a very high position. Don’t be disheartened by this. Once your site is in the indices of the search engines, you can continue to improve on content and relevence which brings your rankings up gradually every time they re-visit and re-index.
Due to the sheer number of new web sites being created on a daily basis by internet marketers and others, it will take time to get your site listed, ranked and into the search results. Remember your are competing for the best results, it doesn’t happen by itself. It takes know-how and work. Selling on line is a business, not a get rich quick scheme, and if you are to succeed, you must take it seriously and treat it like a long term business.
